Gauge chart, mixer guide and spec sheets

Reference material for resellers and their customers. Every figure comes from our own specification tables.

Needle gauge chart

Bore and outside diameter per gauge for our stainless steel needles with a Luer hub. Figures are nominal, taken from families LS-DSP-101, LS-DSP-103, LS-DSP-104, LS-DSP-115, LS-DSP-125, LS-DSP-132, LS-DSP-134, LS-DSP-137.

Where our families list slightly different figures for the same gauge (6 of 8 gauges), the table shows the value listed in most families and the others alongside it. The product page for each SKU carries its own figures.

Hub colors are our hub color only. Color coding is not standardized between suppliers or brands, so confirm a gauge by the gauge marking or a measured ID, never by color alone.

Static mixer guide

A static mixer has to fit the cartridge first and mix the material second. Pick the inlet system, then the element count.

Inlet systems, as we name them

System
A system, bayonet
Inlet
Twist-lock bayonet inlet that seats on the cartridge.
Used on
Two-part cartridges of the A-system style.
Elements in our range
7 to 24
A-system bayonet mixers: 12 variants
System
B system
Inlet
Inlet for cartridges whose resin and hardener outlets stay apart until the mixer.
Used on
B-system style cartridges.
Elements in our range
16 to 20
B-system mixers: 6 variants
System
C system, bell
Inlet
Threaded bell inlet with a retaining nut.
Used on
Larger cartridges and meter-mix equipment. The most widely shared interface across cartridge brands.
Elements in our range
8 to 24
C-system bell mixers: 6 variants
System
F system
Inlet
Inlet for separated outlets. The components meet only inside the mixer.
Used on
F-system style cartridges. Keeps the cartridge tip from curing shut.
Elements in our range
12 to 20
F-system mixers: 4 variants

Cartridge and mixer not made for each other? Bell and threaded interfaces are broadly shared; proprietary quick-connect systems need an adapter made for that system. See mixer adapters and connectors.

Element count, mix quality and waste

  • Each element divides and folds the flow again. More elements give the material more passes to blend.
  • That only holds within the same element design. Element counts do not compare across different designs.
  • More elements add pressure drop and leave more material in the tube as waste at every change.
  • Harder-to-mix materials and higher ratios tend to need more elements.
  • Pick the shortest mixer that gives a uniform color and a full cure in a test bead. Streaks at the outlet mean the mixer is too short.

Matching the mixer to ratio and interface

  • On a cartridge system the two cylinders set the mix ratio. The mixer only blends what it receives.
  • At high ratios the minor component arrives as a thin stream. Those ratios need a mixer shaped to steer it before mixing starts, so tell us the ratio before ordering.
  • A, B, C and F inlets are not interchangeable. Confirm the cartridge system before choosing a mixer.
  • Mixer color does not identify the ratio across brands. Some systems use color for size, caps or series.

When to send us a sample

  • The cartridge comes from another supplier and you are not sure of the interface.
  • The cartridge uses a proprietary quick-connect outlet.
  • You want to replace a mixer your customer already uses and need the same outlet and element count.
  • For an adapter, send the center-to-center spacing of the outlet holes and the outside diameter of the outlet interface.

Send the cartridge part number or a sample cartridge, the mix ratio and the material. We confirm the fit and suggest element counts to test. Send it through the partner form.
