Tapered Dispensing Tips
Tapered dispensing tips narrow gradually from hub to outlet, which lowers back pressure and suits medium to high viscosity materials such as epoxies, silicones, RTVs, sealants and greases. The gradual taper also helps with thin fluids by avoiding sudden compression at the outlet.
These are all-plastic tips molded in PP or PE with a threaded base. We list 14, 16, 18, 20, 25 and 30 gauge with IDs from 0.15 to 1.55 mm, all at 31.5 mm (1.24 in.) overall, color-coded by size. Most listed sizes are cross-referenced to major-brand part numbers.

Questions about tapered dispensing tips
When should we use a tapered tip instead of a straight needle?
Use a tapered tip for thicker materials. The taper cuts back pressure, so the material flows at a lower dispensing pressure.
Do tapered tips work for thin fluids too?
They can. The gradual narrowing avoids sudden compression at the outlet, which helps give clean cut-off.
What about UV-curing adhesives?
Translucent plastic can let light start a cure inside the tip. For UV materials, ask us for an opaque version.
Chamfered-Tip Dispensing Needles
Chamfered-tip dispensing needles have a beveled outer edge at the outlet. The chamfer reduces the outer diameter at the tip, which helps on tightly spaced dispense points and cuts the surface fluid can wick up, useful for dots of low-viscosity fluids.
The tube is Type 304 stainless steel, set in a polypropylene hub. We list 16, 18, 20, 22 and 25 gauge, IDs 0.25 to 1.19 mm, in 1/2 and 1 in. lengths. Select by tip edge form and drawing dimensions, not gauge alone. Sizes map to the nearest major-brand equivalents.

Questions about chamfered-tip dispensing needles
What does the chamfer do?
It thins the tube wall at the tip, so the outlet face is narrower. Less surface at the tip means less fluid wicking up the outside.
How should we select a chamfered needle?
Use the tip edge form and dimensions on the drawing. Two needles of the same gauge can have different chamfers.
Is chamfered the same as tapered?
No. A tapered tip narrows along its length. A chamfered needle keeps a straight tube and only the tip edge is beveled.
