Threaded and special mounts

Externally threaded metal dispensing needles screw directly into valves and machine heads with a threaded outlet, instead of mounting on a Luer fitting. That removes the adapter from the stack and keeps the needle square to the part.

Each needle has a Type 304 stainless steel tube in a metal base with an external thread. Stocked sizes are 14, 18, 20 and 25 gauge (0.25 to 1.6 mm ID) at 1/2 and 1 in. Thread standard, size and pitch are specified to order to match your equipment.

Large pointed threaded dispensing needles have a sharpened tip rather than a blunt end. They are used where the needle has to pass through a seal or film before it dispenses. Handle them as sharps.

Each needle has a Type 304 stainless steel tube in a threaded metal base. The range sticks to larger bores: 14, 16, 18 and 20 gauge, IDs 0.6 to 1.6 mm, in 1 and 1.5 in. lengths. Point form, length and thread size are configured to order.

Solder-reinforced threaded needles are externally threaded metal-base needles where the tube is soldered into the base. They are specified for machine mounts where the tube joint takes repeated handling during tip changes.

Each needle has a Type 304 stainless steel tube soldered into a threaded metal base. The listed range is 14 to 22 gauge (14, 18, 20, 22), IDs 0.41 to 1.6 mm, at 1/2 and 1 in. Thread size and tube length are configured to your equipment.

Double-thread metal dispensing needles have two thread sections on one metal base. They are made for equipment that connects the needle in two stages, rather than with a single thread.

Each needle has a Type 304 stainless steel tube on a dual-thread metal base. Gauges run 14, 18, 20 and 25, with bores from 0.25 to 1.6 mm, and tubes are 1/2 or 1 in. long. Both thread sizes are set to your equipment, so send a drawing or sample with the first order.

Hex-base soldered needles mount on equipment with a male thread. The hexagonal base takes a wrench, so the needle can be tightened firmly and removed cleanly.

Each needle has a Type 304 stainless steel tube soldered into a hex metal base with an internal thread. Four gauges are listed, from 14 gauge at 1.6 mm ID down to 22 gauge at 0.41 mm ID, each in 1/2 and 1 in. Base thread size is configured to your equipment.

Internally threaded soldered needles screw onto a male thread on a valve or machine head. The tube is soldered into the base, and the range reaches finer gauges than our hex-base version.

Each needle has a Type 304 stainless steel tube in an internally threaded metal base. We list 16, 20, 25 and 27 gauge, with IDs from 0.21 to 1.19 mm, in 1/2 and 1 in. lengths. Internal thread size is configured to your equipment, and other gauges can be specified to order.

Special-base dispensing needles are for equipment that does not take a standard Luer or threaded needle. The metal base is shaped to the machine connection, for example round or square.

A Type 304 stainless steel tube is fixed to a round or square metal base. Listed sizes are 14, 18, 20 and 22 gauge with 0.41 to 1.6 mm IDs, in 1/2 and 1 in. Base shape and dimensions are built to your equipment drawing.

Female Luer connection needles have a plastic hub with a female Luer-type socket. They connect to male Luer outlets on syringes, valves and adapters. Connection details vary between machines, so check the lock form against your equipment.

Each needle has a Type 304 stainless steel tube in a polypropylene hub. The hubs are color-coded across four gauges, 14, 18, 20 and 25, covering IDs of 0.25 to 1.6 mm at 1/2 or 1 in. long.

M6 threaded plastic-hub needles screw straight into M6 machine outlets, so no Luer-to-thread adapter is needed. They are used on valves and heads built with a metric threaded nozzle mount.

Each needle has a Type 304 stainless steel tube in a polypropylene hub with an M6 x 0.8 mm external thread. Color-coded hubs cover 14, 18, 20 and 22 gauge, with bores of 0.41 to 1.6 mm and tube lengths of 1/2 and 1 in. Other gauges and lengths can be specified to order.
