PTFE-Lined Dispensing Needles
PTFE-lined dispensing needles are made for very low viscosity fluids, solvents and cyanoacrylates. The PTFE liner resists the clogging that cyanoacrylates and anaerobics cause in a bare stainless steel cannula, and helps control watery fluids.
Each needle has a stainless steel outer tube with a PTFE inner tube, on a threaded hub. We list 20, 25 and 27 gauge, color-coded gray, pink and red, with PTFE bores of 0.6, 0.33 and 0.25 mm. Overall lengths are 33.5 mm (1.32 in.) and 45.5 mm (1.79 in.). Sizes are mapped to the nearest major-brand equivalents.

Why use a PTFE-lined needle for cyanoacrylates?
Cyanoacrylates block ordinary steel tips. A PTFE liner resists that clogging and keeps the flow path open.
What sizes are listed?
We list 20, 25 and 27 gauge with PTFE bores of 0.6, 0.33 and 0.25 mm. Other gauges can be specified to order.
Is this the same as a flexible plastic tip?
No. A PTFE-lined needle keeps a rigid stainless steel outer tube. A flexible tip is solid plastic and bends.
