UV-Blocking Black Dispensing Needles
UV-blocking black dispensing needles are for UV-curing and light-sensitive adhesives. Translucent hubs can pass light and start a cure inside the needle, which clogs it; an opaque black hub keeps light off the fluid in the hub.
The range is focused on fine gauges: 22, 25, 27 and 30, with IDs from 0.16 to 0.42 mm. Each has a Type 304 stainless steel cannula on a threaded black polypropylene Luer hub, in 1/4 in. (6.35 mm) and 1/2 in. (12.7 mm) lengths.

Questions about uv-blocking black dispensing needles
Why does hub color matter for UV adhesives?
UV-curing materials can start to cure wherever light reaches them. An opaque hub keeps light out of the fluid path so the needle does not block between shots.
How much UV does the hub block?
We do not publish a blocking figure. Test the needle with your adhesive and curing lamp to confirm it holds open over your cycle time.
How do we tell gauges apart if every hub is black?
Go by the gauge on the label or measure the ID. The 22 gauge has a 0.42 mm ID and the 30 gauge a 0.16 mm ID.
