Two plug versions are included for applications that need the nozzle outlet sealed. Open nozzles come in yellow at 0.5 and 0.55 mm ID and in blue at 0.8 mm ID, with overall lengths of 48 to 100 mm (1.89 to 3.94 in.). The plug versions, one round and one T-shaped, have a 1.45 to 1.46 mm bore and are about 35 mm long. What are the plug versions for? They close the nozzle outlet. Tell us your process and we will confirm which plug shape suits it. Why use a plastic nozzle on a valve? A plastic nozzle will not mark parts it touches. Replace it if material cures inside. LS-DSP-135 ## Extended Large-Bore Dispensing Needles Extended large-bore needles move high volumes of thick material over a long reach, such as sealant or grease into deep cavities. Two tip forms are offered: flat for general dispensing and pointed where needed. Each needle has a Type 304 stainless steel tube on a metal base. We list 14 gauge (1.6 mm ID) and 16 gauge (1.19 mm ID), in 1.5, 2 and 3 in. lengths. Questions about extended large-bore dispensing needles How is this different from our extended-reach needles? This family is metal-base and large bore only, for high flow of thick materials. Extended-reach needles cover finer gauges and polypropylene tubes. Flat or pointed tip? Flat is the usual choice. The pointed version is for jobs that need a sharpened tip, and should be handled as a sharp. Can we get longer lengths? Our listed lengths go to 3 in.
