They are used for adhesive beads along inside edges and in recessed joints. Each needle has a Type 304 stainless steel cannula with a 45 degree bend, fixed in a threaded polypropylene hub. We list 20, 22, 25 and 27 gauge, IDs 0.2 to 0.6 mm, in 1/2, 1 and 1.5 in. lengths. Questions about 45-degree bent dispensing needles Where along the cannula is the bend? Bend position varies with overall length. If your fixture needs a set bend point, send us a drawing and we will confirm it. Can we get a 90 degree bend? This family is 45 degrees. A bend adds some resistance compared with a straight cannula of the same gauge and length. If flow drops, step up one gauge. LS-DSP-108 ## Bent Elbow Dispensing Tips Bent elbow dispensing tips are all-plastic tapered tips with a shallow bend near the outlet. They reach behind lips and into angled joints when working with thicker adhesives and sealants, without the scratch risk of a metal cannula. Each tip is molded in PP or PE with a 35 to 40 degree bend and a threaded base, 29 mm (1.14 in.) overall. We list 14, 18, 20, 22 and 25 gauge, IDs 0.25 to 1.55 mm, color-coded by size. Bent stainless needles keep a straight bore and suit thinner fluids and tight spaces. What is the bend angle? The bend is 35 to 40 degrees. For 45 degree needles, see our bent stainless options. Can we use these on a valve? They fit outlets that take the same threaded base as our straight tapered tips. Confirm your outlet thread before ordering. LS-DSP-112 ## Bent Stainless Steel Dispensing Needles Bent all-metal dispensing needles combine the solvent resistance of a metal hub with a cannula bent to reach into hard-to-reach areas. They suit angled joints and recessed points on assemblies where a plastic hub is not wanted. Each needle has a bent Type 304 stainless steel cannula in a threaded metal hub. We list 14, 16, 18, 20 and 25 gauge, IDs 0.25 to 1.55 mm, in 1/2, 1 and 1.5 in. lengths. The heavier 14 and 16 gauges handle thicker materials. When is metal better than a plastic hub for a bent needle? Choose metal for solvents that attack plastic and for heavy use.
